It's not that I'm trying to be mysterious and leave you with random comments and things like that. I just feel it's rather irrelevant to know who someone is, and what is really 'knowing' a random commentator anyway?
Point is, I don't think anyone can be "too sensitive". I find that very oxymoronic you know? Can a human be "too sensitive"? Now the contrary would have deemed you awful and I find it better to be too sensitive than to almost be reticent and completely anesthetized of your surroundings. If that were so, you won't be breathing, you would have been better off being a vase or painting.
I hope I make sense, do I? If this may all very well be poppycock to you, it's okay, but that line "too sensitive" strikes a personal chord in me. It was a line I've been accused of by many people in my life, professionally and personally and I find that to be such an unwarranted and derisory accusation. In such a secular and selfish world, that's the least we can be, sensitivity is a great thing! But as far as being paranoid when it comes to treating yourself every now and then and feeling guilty, you should be molting that behaviour.
You've existed for more than a decade with all limbs intact, neither once being incarcerated nor causing your mother a premature heartattack, so I say you should worry about what you want for a change. As for your sister, the most you can do is be a beacon of guidance for her. If she is 1/4 as smart as you, then she's brilliant enough to make wise decisions. From what I gather she is quite young and still very salvageable.
Take a deep breath every morning and think of how utterly fabulous your life is going to be, even if it seems like you're kidding yourself. It will soon become your truth, don't worry.
Have a safe trip.
